The new offices of Etraveli Group, a leading global flight technology provider, are located in the vicinity of Mavili Square, a vibrant and centrally positioned neighborhood in Athens near Megaron, the Athens Concert Hall. The project redefines the contemporary workplace through a holistic and future-oriented approach that balances architecture, functionality, sustainability and employee wellbeing. Set within a former six-storey office building, the 4,500 sq.m. development, complemented by two underground parking levels, is designed to achieve LEED certification while establishing a new architectural identity for the company in Greece. Inspired by Etraveli Group’s global vision and dynamic culture, the design embraces openness, flexibility and connectivity. Large openings bring daylight deep into the interiors, while transparent partitions preserve visual continuity and maintain privacy across executive offices and meeting rooms. The sequence of spaces unfolds from the semi-basement activity hub, housing IT facilities, technical areas and recreational spaces, to the ground floor, which acts as the social core of the building. Here, the reception, restaurant, informal meeting areas and open amphitheatrical auditorium are combined into a continuous and fluid spatial experience. A mezzanine level overlooks both the restaurant and auditorium, reinforcing visual interaction between the different functions. Within the restaurant, hospitality-inspired details are paired with sleek custom-made elements, lending the space a unique flair. The upper office floors are organised with flexible open-plan layouts, adaptable workstations, meeting booths, managerial offices and shared amenities designed to accommodate future growth and evolving team structures. Throughout the project, bespoke elements bring a distinct character to the interiors. Custom-designed reception furniture, tailor-made kitchenettes, a sculptural lounge installation on the fifth floor, integrated libraries and metal structures are paired with sound-absorbing features that enhance comfort while highlighting the building’s coffered ceilings. Materials and colours drawn from the company’s visual identity create a cohesive atmosphere across the workplace. At rooftop level, pergolas, planting and a kitchen-bar area frame panoramic views across Athens and towards Lycabettus Hill. Balancing aesthetics and comfort, the project reimagines the workplace as a flexible and experience-driven environment designed to elevate everyday working conditions and evolve alongside the company’s growth, while fostering innovation, productivity and human interaction.
