VIMAR HELLAS PAVILION | XENIA 2025

Designed for VIMAR HELLAS at XENIA 2025, the pavilion explores the spatial expression of order, movement, and interaction within a clearly articulated architectural system. At the core of the concept lies a rigorous orthogonal grid that organizes solids and voids, routes and pauses, creating a structured yet fluid spatial narrative. Circulation paths are legible but not prescriptive; visitors are free to construct their own journey, choosing between shorter or longer routes depending on their pace and interest. This adaptability transforms the pavilion into an open field of exploration rather than a linear exhibition. The grid extends beyond its two-dimensional footprint into the vertical axis, defining the full three-dimensional composition of the installation. Slender metallic arches mark thresholds and moments of transition, gently framing areas of display and rest. Lighting is carefully choreographed to guide the visitor’s gaze, subtly highlighting key products and focal points without imposing a rigid hierarchy. The architectural design adopts a palette aligned with Vimar’s distinct visual identity, fulfilling a dual role: on the one hand, to provide a clear and functional framework for the display of the company’s products, and on the other, to articulate a concise visual narration of the company’s history and evolution. Three prominent arched portals act as symbolic anchors, referencing this narrative through a sequence of past, present, and future. At the center, a rectilinear volume forms the social nucleus of the pavilion—a meeting point for dialogue, exchange, and informal interaction. The overall composition achieves a balance between permeability and clarity: thematic zones remain visually connected while maintaining distinct identities. The pavilion ultimately reflects VIMAR’s values of innovation, precision, and human-centered design, translating them into an immersive and coherent spatial experience.
